General Care Instructions
1. Avoid Opening Radio Casings
The case is sealed to maintain waterproof integrity. Do not open the case, as this can damage the seals and reduce the water-resistant properties. Opening the case or tampering with the seals will void the factory warranty and may result in water damage to the internal components.
2. Clean with Care
If your radio becomes dirty, clean it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or chemicals that could damage the exterior. Never use high-pressure water jets or submerge radios in water for extended periods, even if some models are water-resistant.
3. Dry After Exposure to Water
After exposure to water, dry radios with a soft cloth to prevent moisture from accumulating around the speaker, microphone, and charging ports. Store radios in a dry place to avoid prolonged exposure to moisture.
4. Avoid Extreme Temperatures
Extreme heat or cold can affect battery performance and the integrity of seals over time. Do not leave radios in direct sunlight, inside hot vehicles, or in freezing conditions for extended periods.
5. Check the Seals Periodically
Inspect the external seals, like those on charging ports or accessory jacks, for signs of wear or damage. If you notice any issues, contact us or a qualified technician for repair.
6. Charge with Care
Ensure the charging port is dry and free of debris before connecting to a charger. Water or dirt inside the port can cause damage or reduce the effectiveness of the seals.
